Cryptarchy VFX LOGO

I was given this to start with, the whole project was not only to make it 3d, but make it physically possible to exist, cause the high poly version will be forwarded to 3d printing

Steven wanted heavy detail, so i thought i would make minute details from the lines of the logo itself, like a damaged, evil skull

But, because its for printing, if tiny edges stick out,
there is a chance of them breaking out physically after printing. its a laser cutting resin process.

So, after some doodling in photoshop and building a base mesh in maya

this is what i came up with in Zbrush with 500,000 poly...

Cause hey, no texture cheating.. the system only understands surface details...
this is what the maya render looks like. NO bump or normal or displacement maps!

lets see what the printing people say....
